On January 23, 2008, an album based on fan requests was released, titled Zard Request Best: Beautiful Memory. NTV Morning News program, Zoom In Super's December 28, 2007 reports that over 500,000 entries were mailed to Being. Surprisingly, Makenaide and Yureru Omoi were not in the top 3, though they did make the top 10. The three songs garnering most votes were 1) Ano Hohoemi o Wasurenaide, 2) Shoujo no Koro ni Modotta Mitai ni, 3) Kakegae no Naimono.
ZARD Request Best beautiful memory is ZARD's fourth best album. The songs were chosen by the fans through a poll held on the official website. The #1 requested song was Ano Hohoemi wo Wasurenaide. The album comes with a DVD, complete discography linear notes and a 17th anniversary calendar (first press only). It reached #1 on the Oricon and charted for twenty-two weeks. It was the #47 best selling album of 2008.
ZARD BEST Request Memorial is ZARD's second best album. It reached #1 on the weekly Oricon charts and sold 1,445,570 units, becoming the #14 album of 1999. It charted for twenty-seven weeks and sold a total of 1,496,804 copies.
