Hey everyone!

Our humble Sydney PHP User Group had an awesome meetup in November last month, and we're absolutely thrilled to see the massive surge in interest and participation for the user group!

This is shaping up to be an interesting year for 2012 as the group size continues to grow, and more sponsors jump on board to help us achieve new an interesting things for the group on a regular basis!

Our end of year special event, the SydPHP Phunconference, is on again this year!

We're coming up close to the date, as its happening on December 15th 2011.

We're running an unconference format, allowing everyone the opportunity to meet and chat with people in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, while learning and sharing knowledge with experts, hobbyists and other interested individuals in and around PHP. Last year we had almost 100 people attending, and this year is set to see about 120 people!!

The format of the event allows people to suggest topics on the night. You can suggest topics that you know well, or even topics that you know nothing about and perhaps want to learn about on the night! We'll break up the attendees into groups so people can talk about the topics they like, and it will give you a chance to chat in a group about that selected topic. Its a fun and engaging way to learn, and meet new people.

Dinner and drinks will be provided. We're ordering in a massive load of pizza, of all types for dinner, so don't eat too much before arriving! We will also have some drinks of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties on hand for people.

Everyone attending will get some gifts from our sponsors, promotional gear, T-Shirts, and more!

We even have some random-draw major prizes to giveaway during the evening including licenses to PhpStorm, the awesome IDE from JetBrains!

All this, for free!
