PEDESTRIAN is looking for a bright spark to join our growing team to
help expand our website and its functionality as well as work across a
range of exciting new developments and projects.

We require a talented and versatile programmer who is capable of
working from back-end programming through to front-end
implementation.

The role is based in Surry Hills. The starting salary for the position
is variable depending on relevant experience.

The successful candidate will have experience with the following:
• html, css, MySQL databases (strong)
• javascript - experience with jquery
• php (strong) .. object-oriented experience, MVC experience
• wordpress experience – (knowledge on how the tables within the
database relate)
• Building Web 2.0 community functionality e.g. forums/chat/user-
logins

You’ll be comfortable and experienced with working within an existing
site structure and be capable of quickly familiarizing yourself with
limited documentation.

You’ll also have experience building web 2.0 communities, including
forums and chat.

Experience with the creation of simple Facebook applications and
mobile will be viewed favourably as will previous experience working
on publishing websites.

Pedestrian’s website currently receives 150,000 Unique visitors and
covers the latest Pop Culture News from music, fashion, art, film and
more.

This role will allow the successful applicant to become an integral
role in a young and energetic team within one of Australia's premiere
youth brands. You will be reporting to the company directors.
