A unique opportunity exists for a QA Automation Engineer (BDD/behave) in Pointzi and StreetHawk's Sydney CBD office.


The company creates a SaaS platform for Mobile Apps to engage with customers without requiring their developers to write code. The ideal candidate has a passion for Quality products and will work with a team of developers. It would be a good fit for graduate/intermediate who wish to build skills in testing, automation, devops, CI/CD skills in a mature/disciplined team that value automation as a pre-requisite to scale. The job responsibilities are:

  1. Using BDD (with behave) test cases. Currently we use appium and selenium.
  2. Scripting in python, to extend and develop more complex tests.
  3. Automating test coverage to confirm that SDK's and REST API's perform to specification
  4. Processes that automatically fit with our Continuous Integration framework to perform regression testing.


NOTE: this is not a manual testing role, there is manual sanity testing but your role is to increase coverage of our REST API, SDKs and integrations into demo apps. We've created a foundation for test automation using Behave and your role will be to increase the test automation footprint to cover use cases that customers will encounter.


Your inherent skills:

  • sense of humour!


Desirable skills are:

  • experience with Jira, Git, Bitbucket
  • previous QA experience
  • ability to construct sentences without saying "awesome"
