Hi everyone,

I would like to have a SyPy meeting later this month with the venue
being the University of Sydney School of IT Building. I had originally
hoped to have a joint meeting with a couple of other "like minded" open
source groups but haven't had any feedback from them yet, so decided to
see if we can at least get together ourselves.

So unless we just want to have an informal meetup, we need 3 presenters
so if you have something you would like to talk about, please let me
know.

As for the date of the meeting, I need to discuss room availiability
this with Bob at the Uni and then will email the proposed date.

Regards

Mark

Dependent on the date, ie., how much time to prepare, I could do a quick
talk on what is coming in the next major version of mod_python (3.3).
This version of mod_python should represent a significant improvement
over previous versions in certain areas with ramifications on stability.
New features have also been added which make mod_python a bit more
flexible than it is now and more useable in the way that Apache modules
should be able to be used. Result is that mod_python can truly be used
for more than just a jumping off point for stuff like WSGI and all those
Python web frameworks that keep popping up every day.
