Hello to Sydney Python folks,

Firstly apologies for placing a "blind" job posting - I did check the guidelines on this.

This role is with a growing startup company.  You will be the primary developer and technical lead.

You'll be developing with a range of technologies but specifically with Python and Django.

The software being developed here has a major back end component, so the right person is extremely conversant with Linux and Amazon Web Services.  There is alot of data being gathered and shunted and stored and organised and categorised, so you'll need to be comfortable with designing and implementing those systems.  Linux, networking and security will be important here too.

The software also does alot of integration with third party APIs - periodically connecting and grabbing stuff and storing it.

So it would fit with someone who is extremely comfortable switching between any technology needed to get the job done - it would not suit someone who is very narrowly focused technically and uncomfortable jumping into whatever needs to be done.

Someone who enjoys learning new things will match with this jobs requirement for integration with various APIs.
