Senior Software Engineer - Any development background + Ruby on Rails!! R&D Groundbreaking Project

Hi Guys,

I am heading up a search for a very special and talented senior
software engineer at present with a R&D company in Sydney that is
doing some groundbreaking stuff that will change the way the world
does things. The reason I have contacted you all is I am obviously not
looking for your average developer, rather a hard-core coder that
lives and breathes development and is keen on working in a
groundbreaking greenfield project.

It is sometimes impossible for great developers to be alerted of these
opportunities that can help them further themselves and push
technology forward as they are obviously not on seek.com everyday and
are not on everyone’s database. The only way that you may find out
about such a opportunity is through these user groups.

In terms of the candidate I am looking for a outstanding developer
that has preferably come from Web 2.0 companies and developed some of
the best and most well known sites around. They will have built
robust, high performance, reliable, scalable internet based systems.
This web application will be supporting the system for 5 years. They
would look at people with any development background. It is also
essential that you have worked with Ruby on Rails and be good with it.
Other technologies include Spring, Hibernate, Struts and SQL.

The candidate must understand all 3 tiers and have a good
understanding of architecture and design patterns. The development
methodology is Agile and in terms of their educational background a
honours degree or higher degree would be ideal. Having been honoured
with a haskey pie award would be a great addition to their
application.
