One of the things I brought along to fix today was a Zachtek WSPR Desktop Transmitter (https://www.zachtek.com/1012). My hot air station is a big crap at home, so I've been putting off replacing the bad GPS module. Did lose one of the inductors on the RF side... was lucky to find it in the carpet though (also pictured).

Left the GPS antenna at home, so couldn't test it out (I was going to just use the "bike-loop" antenna for transmit). Got home, set it up, got GPS lock, and 30 minutes later I can see it being heard as far as the US! 200mW on the 80, 40, and 20m bands (3.5, 7, and 14MHz respectively). Useful tool for checking band conditions, and if propagation is in your favor on the bands you want to operate on at the time, as well as being another data point for others!
