A few (production) jobs here and there, and it might help to pay the rent.
Also, maybe some inexpensive courses for laser cutting and cnc'ing.
People don't mind paying a small amount to learn stuff like that.
My point was that hackerspace type machines actually are
industrial-machine-slaves given light duties at the hackerspace.
Most of the week they spend sleeping - in a wonderpark where rest-time
!= downtime which != money-lost.
bah! The more the merrier.
I agree HackerSpaces shouldn't compete with each other, but there is
no reason not to create a discrete HackerSpace if there is a viable
community to support it.
