Those are pretty dodgy, I wouldn’t trust one of those not to catch fire at that amount of power.

For one that actually meets some regulatory standards, the Mean Well RPS-750-12 or UHP-750-12 would be a good go-to.

both are around $215-330 from element14, DigiKey, or Mouser.

Supplies for Amateur Radio may be an option.  While some are fixed at 13.8 volts, others can be adjusted.

Andrews Communications have Manson SPS-9600 60A regulated 3 to 15 volt power supply for A$599 AUD.  The downside is it as 50% duty cycle, and the continuous rating is 20 amps.  There is a 120 amp 50% / 40 amp continuous, adjustable output voltage from 12.6V to 14.3V DC, at $1199.

AliExpress is my go-to for this sort of thing. I found a 12V 800W power supply for about AU$109.

I have ordered 300? 400? things from AliExpress and haven't really had any problems. The occasional "it looked bigger in the photos and I didn't read the specs properly" (which was a roll of tape), I've had a high wattage diode laser I was going to use for CNCing disappeared by customs, a very obviously too good to be true welder turned into a bolt by the time it landed (full refund of my $38, worth it for the entertainment value), but otherwise I find the quality good and pricing better, so long as you can afford the 2 week wait for it to arrive.

Looks like Customs are confusing laser diodes for laser pointers, which sound very incompetent of them.  You can still get a refund on your card.
