Acrylic Tube/Dome

Hello maker friends; 

I have a need for an acrylic / glass dome / tube to protect an indoor PTZ camera from the elements when placed outside.

I am wondering if anybody can recommend me an off the shelf solution? 
A method to manufacture such a dome that can protect my camera from light rain :)

  I have also drawn up a rough 3d model of such a hypothetical dome that should suit the full camera within it just to give an idea of my mental image..

You may be able to make a dome using a sheet of acrylic, a hot air gun or radiator, and a form such as a suitable ball. Heat the acrylic and let it slump over the form.

Basically vacuum forming without the vacuum.

I'd chat with Panasonic about whether they offer an outdoor enclosure or cover.
The cover needs to be optically transparent, or you lose detail and get distortion trying to use it outdoors.
