Hello,
I have been using an AudioMoth, for field recording, and the duration is about 30 days.
I have so far been using 3 x D Cell batteries, and they are fine, but eventually they run out.
I though I would use a lipo, and then add a solar cell to top up.
So I bought a 2200mah cell, and this small charging circuit from AliExpress.
This seems like it would be right for the job.
3.7v battery, and 6v out (actually this is a bit high for AudioMoth, which can use ~4v but is rated for 6v)
To test, I connected a bench psu, to the Vin of the circuit, and could see the load increase, as the battery was charged.
Once the load dropped to 0, I connected the AudioMoth to vOut, and disconnected the PSU, but the AudioMoth did not power on.
I tried a different lipo, and the audiomoth turned on, and I can measure the vin on the AudioMoth at 6v.
So does this suggest the new battery is duff?
Regards
