Hello!
I'm keen on learning how to use the CNC machine for cutting thicker wood and metal - is anyone who knows it well planning to use it in coming weeks?
I spoke to someone the other day who mentioned that it can be a bit tricky/not everyone knows how to work it?
No project urgency just keen to learn :)

Thanks!

Hi Lydia,

It's a CNC router, not a mill, so it's not really capable of any work in metal.
It can do thicker wood, though even hardwoods are tricky to get good results.

I'm not sure when i'll next be able to make it in, it depends how I'm feeling on the day, but Mitch is often around.

I think we had a little CNC that can do metal. Is it still there?

yes, we do, but it seems unlikely to be what Lydia's looking for, and it's very impractical.
