Someone left something behind tonight in the room at Google. Please hassle me or Shane Stephens to get it back.

Hi Brett,

I lost my googleplex virginity last night does that count?

Thanks for being part such an enjoyable night. I got a lot out of it and it was great to be around the wave group in
general.

Seems like a hard thing to get that kind of group doing activities all at once. With such a diverse range of wave
experience. Maybe you could group people together as newbies with a veteran to show them the fundamentals
and then let the programmers have a group to talk coding and extensions.

Happy to help out in any way for future events just let me know.

Good point from Tony C there - suggest continue with monthly/6-weekly
meetups and agree spend an hour with 2-3 talks/Q&A then another hour
in relevant groups for working with Wave.

Hey All,

I'm all good with spending time with people using wave - in fact Shane has some ideas on more structured wave exercises that he wants to test out on a few of us before the next meeting. I've roped Tony C into this already, and happy to take in a few more eager souls.

What I'd love to know from the crew is what talks would you guys like to hear? I've pretty much covered the spectrum of the talks that I was dying to hear, so I'd like to know what you guys want to hear from the wave team. Do we want to get Cameron down to talk about the UI design? Or are there other parts of the Wave platform that you are all interested in?

Thoughts and feedback welcome =)

One thing that would be nice, is a breakout on fedOne and the
Client/Server discussions that are going on...
The idea of running an internally hosted Wave server or either
going out to the cloud is quite attractive, however at
this point the internally hosted option requires quite a bit of
development, particularly in the Web UI side,
it would be nice to help that along somehow?
But I'm guessing it's quite a small group that would be interested
in that, so it should be as a small part of some
other activity that folks don't have to be part of if they are not
interesting in it???

Scott,

We could use this as the basis of one of the structured wave
discussions at the next wave user group meeting...

By the end of the night I really wanted to hack on a bit of code and
make something.

Taking this vote further, there are three areas of coding that I can see:

* JavaScript/Gadgets
* AppEngine Robots
* Federation Server hacking

Which areas of the above are of interest?

We have a couple of people who are currently pushing into the FedOne code base, is this where we should focus?

Are there people interesting Robots or Gadgets?

I would love to spend a couple of hours going over the FedOne codebase
with the guys who wrote it. If nothing else so I can understand where
bits and pieces are (being a complete Java novice).

Count me in. I'm happy to help with planning exercises or just be a
guinea pig.
