Hi developers -

I want to give you early details about an upcoming event that we are planning for the end of June, called DevFest AU.

The event will be a weeklong series of mini-conferences, with each day dedicated to a different topic, with speakers flown in from our global Google offices.

The schedule is:

Monday, June 28th:
Wave
with the local Wave team plus the Wave Media team
discussing attachments API, non-App Engine robots, open sourced client, and more.

Tuesday, June 29th:
Apps
with Don Dodge & Patrick Chanezon
discussing App Engine, Apps Marketplace, and more.

Wednesday, June 30th:
Chrome & the Open Web
with Jeremy Orlow & Eric Bidelman
discussing Chrome extensions, HTML5, Native Client, Chrome developer tools, and more

Thursday, July 1:
Social
with Timothy Jordan & Will Norris
discussing the Buzz APIs & integrating social elements in your apps

Friday, July 2:
Geo (Maps API)
with the local Maps API team plus Luke Mahe and Dann Lee
discussing Maps API v2, plus recent additions like custom styled maps, directions service, and place API

Each day will be a combination of talks plus hands-on activity, with the exact schedule left up to the team. Schedules will be posted once finalized.

Once registration pages are up, you'll be able to register for the day(s) that are relevant to you and your interests. We expect the website and registration to be up in a few days.

This is the first time we're trying this format, and we hope it will allow you to get very deep into the topics that interest you, and to really get to know the Googlers involved.

Feel free to send me any questions.
