Heya,

Are any django people going to the Australian Web Industry awards
thing/do tomorrow night?

Details here: http://www.webawards.com.au/

I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to go, or spend the time
actually making websites instead.

Elena.

ps. we're finalists, yay! Winston Churchill Trust is proudly Django
under the Not For Profit section. For the record: their validation
requirements are as tough as possible, we're pretty stoked to have
survived that gauntlet and made it through.

Hey Sri,

It's only freak coincidence we're over this side of the world anyway :) ... We're supposed to be in WA right now, but still not sufficiently motivated to make the effort to get to the thing. It's a hell of a drive for me though.

There looks like some rad-cool stuff going on as part of this: http://www.webweek.com.au/

The thing at Atlassian looks sick (run by the SydJS group) and take note Sydney Django community that Rails has a gig that's part of this (though it's probably not too late to add a Django thing).

Elena.
