Proposed Dates for Next Sydney DH Meetup

We had a wonderful THATCamp Sydney last week with many thanks to Intersect and the State Library of NSW. Let's keep the conversation going we said at the end. What better way than through regular, informal digital humanities meetups here in Sydney?

Sydney Digital Humanities Meetups are opportunities to discuss issues, share problems and successes, and to share what we are doing. They are an opportunity to foster the collegiality which is the hallmark of digital humanities.

Dave Earl has offered a venue at the University of Sydney for our next meetup. All we need to decide on is the date. Here are some proposed dates to choose from:

• Monday: either 25th November or 2nd December
• Tuesday: 26th November or 3rd December
• Thursday: 28th November or 5th December

Hi Yvonne - local for me but were you thinking of an all-day session or just a few hours?

Good question! These meetups are intended to be just a couple of hours from say 6:30pm.

Can everyone indicate their preferences for the date of the next Sydney Digital Humanities Meetup through this Doodle Poll.

I would suggest starting closer to 6 if possible. We could go through to 8, possibly 8:30, much later than that and my wife gets shirty (I have to be on premises if guests are in the offices). The remainder could retreat to a nearby pub if desired.
