Hello everybody,

After the discussion below, we've picked 6pm on Monday the 2nd for our next meet-up.

Directions for how to get to our offices are here: http://bit.ly/1e2k9vD

After 6pm, the "bailiffs" and "yeomen" start locking down the Quadrangle, so if you're much later than 6:15 you'll probably have to give me a call for access: 0414 930 193.

We can order some pizza.

You can RSVP here or email me dave...@sydney.edu.au

What would we like to talk about this time?

D

That's great Dave.

Have a good session!  I'll be in NZ lapping up the wind and 18 degree days ;)

Look forward to the next one in 2014 :)

Cheers, Ingrid

I'll be in NZ too attending the NDF (I remember as a child from Auckland how an 18 degree day was considered really hot).

Looking forward to attending and meeting everyone at the next 2014 session..

Best,
Jason

I'll be there.

Ideas for what we can discuss:
  • It would be good to hear from USyd people about what digital humanities work they are doing.
  • Report about the NDF conference and THATCamp in Wellington which will have taken place the week before - understandably not everyone will have returned.
  • Have University of Western Sydney people got anything they want to contribute? Lots seems to be going on there.
  • And of course there is the GLAM sector: any museum/library/archive/gallery people want to share what they are working on?
  • Aside from all this there may be other people not mentioned above who want to share their projects or their conundrums...
Looking forward to it!

Yvonne

There is indeed a lot of good work underway at UWS here. I'm not sure who else from UWS may be attending but after NZ I'll be passing through Perth. Unfortunately I'm unable to swing a meetup at this stage but certainly will lock in the next one when the date is set.

Best,
Jason

I'm in Melbourne for a conference Monday Tuesday Wednesday that week and haven't been paying attention to the previous chatter about this meetup. I'll have to add my apologies and catch up with you in early 2014.

Hope it goes well and will be following along via Twitter or whatever platform is chosen for communication.

Jonathon.

At this stage it looks like me and Yvonne then. Unless we get at least two or three more takers I'd suggest postponing this until February when schedules are a bit more normal.

I agree with you Dave that we should move the December meetup to February.

Ditto.  Dave, is there any chance we could call upon your generous offer to host at Sydney in Feb 2014?  Ingrid

Consider this postponed until later in February! The space is always available so we can re-doodle closer to the time. Have a great xmas break and new year.
