replication server fails to start

Hi,

I have the following error, when trying to startup a replication server 12.0
(slave):

ERROR #60 GLOBAL RS(GLOBAL RS) - l/sysver.c(715)
The get system version RPC has failed.
FATAL ERROR #18028 GLOBAL RS(GLOBAL RS) - servmain.c(1302)
Initialization failed. Server is shutting down.
FATAL ERROR #18028 GLOBAL RS(GLOBAL RS) - servmain.c(267)
Initialization failed. Server is shutting down.

Anyone has seen this before? This server is running on Solaris 2.7, with
all recommanded patches installed (there is no problem with the master
replication server, which is on a similar machine, with the same
OS/patches).

hi,

is your RSSD up and running? if you try to start the repserver, before the
RSSD is recovered, the repserver login has automatic a guest account in
master!
