Hi, there

What should i do with the message prompted in dsedit: The local machine has
not set up a driver for the protocal TCP?

I installed Sybase Adaptive Server 11.5 in my Windows 95 workstation. But i
cannot connect to the sybase database in another workstation which is
installed with
Sybase Adaptive Server 11.5 too.

I go to Start->Program->Sybase->Dsedit to configure it. In Window DSEDIT1 -
InterfacesDriver, i highlight NTQA_SYB which is remote server name in left
pane, then right left click : Server Address TCP - 192.168.132.104, 5000
in the right pane and select Ping Server. Then i got the above mentioned
message.

Any comments are pointed valued. Please let me know. Thanks

Go to Start->Programs->Sybase->OC OS Config Utility, click the Net-Library
tab, and set the TCP protocol to Net-Lib driver NLWNSCK. If it's already
set, set it again and click OK.

That will cause the value 'TCP' in the server address (TCP -
192.168.132.104, 5000) to be resolved to NLWNSCK.dll which is the TCP/IP
Net-Lib driver.
