We are setting up a system for a customer that will include 6 or more
sites, each with its own SA 11 database server. The 6 sites will be
sharing certain data via Mobilink 11 replication (so there will also
be a consolidated SA 11 server). The customer has indicated that the
high availability option will be required for the db server at each of
these remote sites. My question is about how Mobilink handles a HA
failover on the remote side, i.e. is a reset procedure required at
failover time? Should the ML client service maybe be set up on the
arbiter so it can acess either db server? (We will be setting up a
dbmlsync service at each remote site to sync on a frequent cycle (1 -
5 minutes). How to ensure no or minimal intervention will be required
at failover time for sync to proceed, etc.? Any experiences or advice
would be appreciated ?
Thanks in advance,
Bob Leviton
