I got a detached .db file from a client which was from Sybase ASA
version 9. I installed the Developer version of SQL Anywhere 11 and
used the Unload Database tool to convert it to a version 11 database.

I am trying to get the whole thing into SQL Server 2008 (which is what
I need to work in) using the Import Wizard. I select the data source
"SQL Anywhere OLE DB Provider 11", but I am stuck getting it to
actually connect. I read that there may be problems with this driver.
Does anyone have any tips on how to copy this database onto SQL
Server?

Thanks for your help!

We provide the tools to migrate MS SQL Server to SQL Anywhere. We don't provide a tool to do the
opposite (for obvious reasons). You might want to post in the SQL Server newsgroup.

I am not aware of any problems getting MSS to connect to SA.

Can you post your engine startup command and connection string/settings?
Do you encounter any errors/warnings/message? If so, please provide.

Where can I find the documentation and tools to migrate from
Sql Server 2000 to ASA (either version 8 or 11)?

Thanks

In Sybase Central with SQL Anywhere 11 there is a migration wizard:
http://dcx.sybase.com/index.html#1101en/dbusage_en11/load-s-4100113.html

Documentation on migration:
