When I attempt to start VE (an .exe file) from the workstation, I get the
following error message (every time):
The database returned an error of "SQLSTATE = 08001 [Sybase] [ODBC Driver]
[Adaptive Server Anywhere] unable to connect to database server: Database
server not found"
(Using Breck's advice - IP Addresses have been ommitted w/ ***)
So the problem is most likely in your ODBC DSN
- If you press test connection in the odbc administrator does the connection
work?
- if it doesn't then getting that working should solve your problem
- if it does then I would turn on odbc tracing to see the exact connect
string the application is generating. The application can override vales in
the DSN. I'd use these values in a test ODBC DSN to get them working
