We get a compilation error message while trying to generate
the Database script from a PDM.

The cause is that Contraint Names generated automatically by
PowerDesigner when we create a PDM from a CDM are TRUNCATED.

e.g
Constraints names appears like CKC_<attribute name>_<table
name>
CKC_BLOCKADE_NBR_T_BLOCKA

where BLOCKADE_NBR is the attribute name
and T_BLOCKADE_MEMBER is the table name.

Thanks

The constraint name length is set to 128 definition: in the
MaxConstLen entry (in the Object category) and in each
object category !

Is there another general option I forgot ?

The solution can be found here :

http://sybooks.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-pd/pdd0750e/cdug/@Generic__BookTextView/1437

In Check Model Parameters Options, set "Automatic
Correction" the Package-->"Contraint name uniqueness" error.

THIS IS ONLY A WORKAROUND....

I still not have found the source of the problem, why
CONSTRAINTS name are truncated.

What DBMS is the target?
What version/build of PowerDesigner?
