Floating license server port

We have a SYSAM server and all ports are protected by a firewall.
I know the default 27000 port must be opened, but I don't know what is the
another port.

When TCP-port 1035 must be opened in Firewall, Sysam server works well.
Whenever Sysam server is restarted, this port is changed.

Hello,
it is very hard to find in the documentation that Sysam needs 2 ports.
The first one is defined when creating the lic file (27000 for you).
The second port can be defined by editing the license file - add PORT=1035
next to VENDOR SYBASE line:
VENDOR SYBASE PORT=1035

I'm having the same problem - the Sysam 2.1 license server seems to
change what port(s) it requires. I had the PowerDesigner client
application connecting successfully to the license server with ports
27000 and 35151 open on the firewall, but today it seems to require a
different port. I tried changing the VENDOR SYBASE line in the .lic
file to read VENDOR SYBASE PORT=35151 and restarted the service
(running on Windows 2003 server). Still not working. Is there
another step required to re-configure the license server?
