I've successfully deployed pbx to 2 clients and all is well. Went to a 3rd
client(different email provider) and keep getting a connect to server
failure followed by a -4 error code. I suspect this must be generated by
pbnismtp105.pbx itself and would like to know what it means. I have a valid
email, password, verified port is 25 etc so all info supplied appears valid.
The sending box is XP and has the extra files libeay and ssleay.
This client is remote so my plan is to try the developer pbx but that may
not happen for a few days waiting for an assistant at the other end. In the
meantime, can anyone tell me what that means?
The date on the pbx is 12/09/08...is there perhaps a newer one I'm not aware
of?
TIA using 10.5.2 7611
In any event, I put the last build I did at:

Will give that a try. In the meantime what is -4?

It just means the SMTP connectoin failed.
#define INVALIDSENDEREMAIL -1
#define INVALIDRECIPIENTEMAIL -2
#define INVALIDSMTPSERVER -3
#define SMTPCONNECTFAILED -4
#define MESSAGESENDERROR -5
#define UNDEFINEDERR -99
There's a method you can call that will turn on messageboxes with more
descriptive error information. Because the utility could be used by
services that shouldn't show messageboxes, they aren't provided by
default.
Hopefully that will help me track what's going on
