Power Builder 9 interaction with excel slow

Im sending information to Excel from Power Builder 9 using the next
instructions:

OLEObject lole_excel
lole_excel = Create OLEObject
ll_ole_handle = lole_excel.ConnectToNewObject("excel.application")
lole_excel.application.Workbooks.Open( ls_report_path)

It's working fine but when I write 6600 lines into excel it takes 1 minute,
while writing the same number of lines in a datawindow takes approximately
30 seconds, is there any way to increase the speed when the information goes
to excel?

Well....nothing beats the DataWindow! :)

I really don't know what would speed up the OLE connection. I had a similar
issue with MS Word and after upgrading to the latest service pack for Office, my
speed increased. Don't know if this would be the same in your case with Excel.

I've run into this issue too. In my case I saved my info to the clipboard
and then used OLE to paste it to Excel.
