error with excel ole

I have windows 7 installed machine with Excel 2003.
I am creating a .xls file and writing some data into that
file. Then connecting it using connecttoobject function
using ole.
It is giving error -7 which means either it cannot be opened
or file does not exists at the specified location. I have
checked that it it exists at this location.
I don't know why it has suddenly started giving this error.
I was working fine earlier.

I have noted one more thing. if i open and put same data in
excel using normal mode ( start>programm file>office>excel)
and save it. It save data with 20KB
But file generated with set of data makes the file size only
3kb.
