Embedded on a response window the DW is retrieved but invisible until
a certain parameter is selected on the main screen.
This DW selects dates from a view that references an external
datasource. The issue is that when more than a half a dozen dates are
returned the window doesn't expand and there is no scrollbar.
No matter what I do I can not expand this.
Any thoughts?

Not that I am aware of but I will take a look.
Usually when you pop on a scroll bar in the DW IDE it appears.
For some reason even in the IDE environment when I click the option
for the scroll bar it doesn't appear. It will 'flicker' and then
disappear.
Perhaps an option setting for the datwawindow? The type of dw? Hmmm.

XP.
Never had any kind of issue like it before to be honest. I don't
think its the OS nor the video driver simply because it works in other
areas. Its just these datawindows for whatever reason.
I can make other ones and set the scroll bars and they are fine.
So - are these DWO's then hand scripted to get the data vs a retrieve ?

No. These are datawindows that are simple selects.
I have 3 of them layered on top of one another and they simply
retrieves dates from an external data source ( I had to layer them and
play with the visible and enabled properties given the external
datasource wasn't allowing on the fly SQL changes or datawindow
dataobject swapping).
It should just be a matter of enabling the vertical scroll bar option,
but it doesn't seem to like that in the IDE nor when being run.
One thing, the response window that these are embedded on doesn't want
to change size either. Because I have tried enlarging the window and
then datawindow on it.
Its the window and the datawindows in combination. THe properties on
the response window are immutable. So what happens is that when one
of my DWs gets too many records it covers the OK/CANCEL buttons on the
window itself.
I try modifying the size of the window, but it always remains the same
vertically, I am modify the width though.
I tried recreating the DW from scratch and it still doesn't allow the
Vertical Scroll. Shame that.
Am trying to get around somehow allowing the window to be resizable
and hopefully getting that scrollbar in the datawindow still.
