I just wanted to verify that Sybase does not support
PowerBuilder apps on Citrix. I am having a hard time
finding any documentation on this site. Could someone point
me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Well, define "support"... Deployed PowerBuilder apps run just fine on
Citrix. The IDE can also run on Citrix, but you must use "standalone
served" licenses, not "standalone local" licenses.

If you're looking for advice on how to configure Citrix Terminal Server, I'd
have to refer you to their support resources.

I'm only gathering information. We want to possibly host
some of our PowerBuilder apps on Citrix. I was curious
about the support because I have noticed in a few places
that Sybase doesn't "support" development or deployment to
Citrix. Here is what I found:

http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1011752

and ticket #441256 that states "Customer does understand
that we do not test or support deployment to Citrix."

I just want to make sure I have all of my information
straight before moving forward.
Thanks.

From my experience, we've had sites running with citrix for about 4 years
now - PB7 and PB 11 applications with no issues, once the printing was
striaghtened out (but that is a citrix thing, not PB).

For some versions of PowerBuilder they specifically stated that the
development environment was not supported on Citrix.

I have been using PowerBuilder on Citrix for over 10 years it works really
well. Older versions ( 8 or 9 I think) had issues with really long printer
names. Other than that, I don't recall any major problems.

The link you gave is from 2001 which is when PB8 was current. What version
of PowerBuilder do you have? Is your Citrix server Windows Server 2003 or
2008?

Thanks for the feedback. We are currently using PowerBuilder
11.1 and Windows Server 2003.
