Hi to all ,

This is kind of strange but I cannot install Powerbuilder 11 to my
windows 7 64 bit machine.
Sqlanywhere installation finishes without any problems and even
infomaker 11 works.
But Powerbuilder 11 starts the installation , copies the files and
when it comes to the final stage I get an appcrash error.
Not even the rollback action works.
And if I try to uninstall it from the add remove option , I cannot
because some dll is missing . That's because it hasn't finished the
installation.
This is very strange because Powerbuilder 10 which is older technology
works fine .
What is going on with Powerbuilder 11 ?
Is there any workarround or am I missing something ?

thank you in advance.

Silly question, but do you have full admin rights with the ID you're
using for the system you're trying to install PB 11 on?

thks
P.

Yes I do have.
Anyway. Official answer from Sybase is that the IDE is not supported
for 64bit windows 7 machines although it supports the deployed
applications.
I found a workarround and finally installed Powerbuilder 11. Haven't
tested yet but I think it ill work.

thank you
