I am having trouble getting Ghostscript to work on Windows 7.

I installed gs8.64, added a printer driver and named it "Sybase
DataWindow PS".

When I do the saveAs, it created a PDF of size 0 and returns a -1.

This same code worked on XP.

PB10.5, 32-bit PB and 32-bit Win7.

I am not sure if it matters, but whenever I start PB, it prompts me
"Do you want to allow this program from an unknown publisher..."

Hi Daniel;

GS is working great for me on W7 (using PB 11.2, 11.5.1 and 12). However,
I am using GS 8.70

Note:
1) make sure you install the "Sybase DataWindow PS" printer from the GS .INF
file NOT PB's.
2) Make sure that you create a GS_DLL environment variable
ie: GS_DLL=D:\Program Files\gs\gs8.70\bin
3) Make sure the GS "Bin" folder is in your system path

HTH

I am using GS 8.54 on Windows 7 32 bit using PB 10.2.1 build 9823 and
PB 11.2 build 8407 and they save the pdfs all right with saveas
function.

Thanks Chris, I'll try it out -- good talking to you again after my
prolonged absence!

Still no luck. Is the warning I get when I start up PB a problem?
pb10.5.4523

I had 8.64 installed, installed 8.7 then removed 8.64 - any chance
that caused grief?

Hi Chris,

Does this rule apply to XP, Vista and Win 7? Please let me know.

Thanks.
