Does anyone know if there is a way to 'reverse
engineer' a .pbd file to get the .pbl that created it?
Unfortunately, someone left me with the .pbds to an
application, but not the 'latest' .pbls to be able to
upgrade it.
Thanks for the help.

There is no source in a PBD. The problem is equivalent to converting a DLL
back to C, with the complication that the machine code instruction set in a
DLL is documented and p-code is not. Bottom line, you are s*****d.

As everyone else stated, you can't reverse-engineert. Best you can do is see
the names of the objects contained in the pbd.

I've been there. Had source from mid-August, customers had a beta
built from source as it existed in December, and there was no way I
would ever have those december pbl files.

All you can do is perform analysis on the difference between the pbds
behavior and what the source you have is and try to recreate the wheel.
