Good Afternoon All,

We have recently migrated up to PB 11.5(2506) and now my end users have
begun to receive the following error message when they run the apps:

PowerBuilder failed to change the Unicode font substitution. You must run
at least once with administrator privileges to complete this process.

I have been using PB for a long time (since v4) and I have never seen this
before.

Here are specifics about my client machines:

Win XP Pro
Oracle 11g

Any thoughts?

Rob.

A little searching - though Google advanced search still doesn't appear to
limit the groups correctly.

We're having the same problems at a client site as well that's running XP
SP2, that's runs a high level of security on their windows rollout. There's
a comment on the link provided latest EBF does not fix the problem, is there
likely to be another EBF released to address this?

Thanks in advance
Allan

Scott;

FWIW: M$ converted all their product to Tahoma a long time ago. Tahoma
is the standard font used on XP and higher and fully Unicode compliant. I
have changed all my applications since PB 10.0 to Tahoma with no issues. The
screens also look very crisp on Vista.

This was CR545778 and was fixed as of Powerbuilder 11.5
build 3050. Updating to the latest ebf should solve your
problem.
