Hello,

I read an earlier post on using PBNI SMTP from CodeExchange. I downloaded &
installed the version for PB 9.0.3. I am getting an error:
PBX Exception - Error calling method of PBNI Object.

Can anybody help? I checked the earlier post of July - I did not find
n_winsock and n_smtp. The only object in the PB 9 version is n_cpp_smtp.
Even the demo does not work & gives the same error.

Thanks
Amal Sharma

Amal,

The objects n_winsock and n_smtp are from the example on my website:

http://www.topwizprogramming.com/freecode_emailsmtp.html

The zipfile contains PB8 and PB10 examples. Since you have PB9, you can
migrate the PB8 example.

PBNISMTP doesn't use n_winsock or n_smtp. It uses n_cpp_smtp. It's a
wrapper for a special DLL (pbnismtp90.pbx). That file has to be in
the directory that the application is running from or in the search
path. If you do something like a GetOpenFileName from the application
that switches out the working directory, you need to set it back to
the application directory before you make the call if the file isn't
in the path (that's true of any PBNI extension).
