I was given the new version of this mop as a gift. The H2O Ultra Mop. This product does NOT do a thing to rugs. I attempted to use it on my tile floors. It took up washable crayon from my toddler after going over it about 5 times. A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is much more effective. The washable mats fall off after pushing it forward a few times. After a few minutes of use, the mop started making strange noises. When I attempted to shut it off, I realized that the on/off switch stopped working. When I went to pull the plug from the wall socket, it burned my hand. The whole cord was hot. Please think twice before purchasing this over priced, poorly made product.
I love the steam floor cleaner, but it does leave more water behind than the commercial leads you to believe. I solved the problem by having an old bath towel nearby and use my foot to swoosh over the cleaned area. I used to do this when I mopped too. The floor cleaner sanitizes and that is a big plus.
Very happy with product. Lived up to its advertisement. I would recommend this product to others. I am glad it was available via Amazon and the price was much better than advertised directly on TV.
I got this floor steamer as a Christmas gift and since I had my whole family here with all the kids, this would be a great time to test it out the day after the get together. It worked great!!! I did my ceramic kitchen tile first, then put on a pair of white socks, and voila, NO DIRT! I was very happy with it. I had read a review from a lady saying she did her hard wood floors but first sprayed a little Orange Glo on the floor and they turned out good. I did that, and it wasnt good! The wax smeared up the floors with the steamer. So the next day, I went over the hard wood with just the steamer and no Orange Glo, and they turned out wonderful. I havent done the carpet in the living room yet, so I cant give a review on that. I love this steamer.
I want everyone to be aware that I have owned (2) H20 Steam Mops!!! Yes, I said 2!!! When I first received them and used them, everything was perfectly fine with them but about after a month or so of use, the steam mop did not work correctly. In each of the (2) H20 Steam Mops that I have bought and owned, I constantly had the same problem. The mop would no longer emit steam. In each instance, the steam no longer worked and it would just drip LOTS of water. Since I live in Las Vegas, the water here is very hard. Okay, so the hard water mineral deposits accumulated on the spray nozzle inside the chamber. Recommendation from the manufacturer is to use half vinegar and half water to clear it out. Well I tried that and it worked for about 30 minutes and that's it. So, figuring I received a dud and the fact that I really did like it initially, I purchased another one. This time, I used nothing BUT distilled water. Again, about a month or so goes a by, and the mop starts failing again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL! This product is not built well. I have completely disassembled and reassembled this product trying to make it work. This is not worth the $100 and I recommend trying another steam mop with a better reputation. If you want to save yourself some money and headaches, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
