DB2 8.1 Blob Update Severe Error

Hi,

After upgrading DB2 to 8.1 ( Fix pack 4) from 7.1 I'm not able to make
UPDATEBLOB anymore.
We are using the BLOB datatype
The UPDATEBLOB works fine on UDB 7.1

I get:

sqlcode= -1
sqldbcode= 999
sqlerrtext= SQLSTATE = S1010 [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Function
sequence error

In CLI/ODBC Settings I have

Patch1=9216

I also tried different values of

LONGDATACOMPAT=0 / 1
LONGMAXCOLUMNSIZE= 2*1024^3-1 (around 2gb )
QUERYTIMEOUTINTERVAL=0
BITDATA=1

Any clues ??

do you have DataDirect drivers 4.2? if not install and see if the problem
persist

Hi,

StarSQL (www.starquest.com) also supports Blob, might be worth have a look at it.

Hi,

It seems to work with DataDirect 4.2 drivers.
But I only have a trial ....

You haven't received a response because you posted through Google,
which means the message never made it to the Sybase server. You

great for searching the Sybase newsgroups, but you can't post to them
from there.
