Any luck with BLOBs on 5.5.05 with JConnect 5.2

Has anyone had luck inserting BLOB data into a 5.5.05 SQL Anywhere database
via JConnect 5.2. I'm using Java 1.3.

The TextPointer stuff does not work for 5.0/5.5 databases so I'm stuck with
SetBinaryStream I guess.

If I recall, there were issues with the OpenServer Gateway in this
area. No problems using ASA 6.0.3.x and higher

So is there a fix or EBF to SQL Anywhere 5.5.05 or the Open Server Gateway
that corrects this problem? SQL Anywhere 5.5.05 is still a supported release
(Sybase has not posted an End of Life notification). Our project cannot
afford to move to ASA 6 or 7 due to the large number of installed sites.

This problem also limits our ability to add SQL Anywhere to an
enterprise-case replication system because the OSG can handle the BLOB data
types)

BTW, You are correct. I'm able to move the data using ASA 6.0.1.1314 (I
haven't tried any other maint releases)
