Hi All,

I found a strange behaviour on DC12.6 and 15 (on
Windows)while transferring data from As400 to Sybase.

On DC12.6 i'm using data direct odbc and on DC15 i'm using
Iseries ODBC.

What happens is that on AS400 I have some char columns that
I need to transfer to Sybase where I have varchar columns.

This transfer fails if those columns are not null.

And when I changed the definition of the columns on Sybase
from varchar to char... the transfer works no matter if the
values are null or not null.

Any idea about this issue?

Thanks In advance,
Regards,
Sérgio Diogo

That's very odd. Do you have a default rule or a
trigger on the columns?

You might want to raise it with Sybase TechSupport.

Hi Sergio,

What exact DC 12.6.X version? Platform and what's the failure message?

Hi,

this was sent to Sybase Support that are now working on
it... so a next ESD will have this problem solved.

Thanks,
