DirectConnect for AS/400 Drivers

Hi,
i'm currently installing ECDA 12.6.1 for DB2 UDB on Windows
2000 server.
I heard that Sybase no longer support the data direct
drivers. I would like to know what is the better driver to
connect to AS/400 if the one who is shipped with ECDA 12.6.1
or if there is a better one.

ECDA 12.6.1 still supports and ships with DataDirect AS/400 Driver and the
DataDirect Driver manager. ECDA 15 just released supports multiple ODBC
driver managers including DataDirect (I've installed it and used my 12.6.1
driver manager and drivers). ECDA 12.6.1 is supported until July 2009.
ECDA 15 documentation explains how to use other driver managers. Uncoupling
the ECDA product from the DataDirect driver manager makes it more versitile
to work with other driver managers and databases.
