Job Description
We are looking for an outstanding Lead Data Engineer to help build our highly scalable data-collection and analytics system.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Product, Marketing and Tech teams to understand events being tracked, analytics and reports required, as well as experiments and tests for tracking;
Develop a centralized, scalable repository for event collection
Manage the collection and aggregation of several billion events per month
Develop the necessary reporting tools
Assist with the development of centralized dashboard of reporting and analytics for Product and Marketing teams
Requirements
Must have at least 4+ years experience in Data Science / Data Engineering
Excellent understanding of scalable databases and data aggregation tools
Experience using SQL database (Postgres, MySQL, etc) and non-relational databases (Mongo, Redis, etc)
Experience with Amazon Web Services tools
Experience using MPP data stores (AWS Redshift, or similar)
Some experience with "big data" tools, such as Hadoop (or similar)
Experience using 3rd party analytics tools (mixpanel, kissmetrics, omniture, heap, etc)
Excellent command of one or more relevant programming languages (C, C++, Java, Perl, PHP, Python, etc)
Some experience with data analysis languages (such as R)
Bachelor in Computer Science (or related field of study) plus at least 4 years experience developing Data aggregation/analytics tools
