It technically should be able to but I have not tried it with EAS.

Unfortunately, no.

The J2EE specification says that you need to have the context path in each
web application. We are working on an option that sets one (and only one)
web application to be the 'root'.

It will probably (but not certainly) in the C3 patch? I'll check on it for
you.
