i'm a little bit in trouble. before i have syabase 12.x and
successfully linked our sybase database to sqlserver 2k and
2k5. when our company upgraded sybase to 15.x. i followed
the document

sybase 12.5 to sqlserver. but when i install the sybase
15.x openclient i can find the SYBASE OLEDB CONFIGURATION.
where i can find it?? or sybase change the SYBASE OLEDB
CONFIGURATION????

New Step #1. !!!! Get the latest EBF for the oledb client !!!! There have
been many fixes for linked server in the last year. The EBFs can be found
in the Software Development Kit... They will have a version of 15.0ESD#13.
(You at least want #12) The version of SDK looks older than your ASE
release but that is ok - they do not follow the same version sequence.
After installing the latest client ESD, jump to CONFIGURING MICROSOFT SQL
SERVER.
Do as instructed -
At step#4 choose SYBASE OLEDB Provider
At step#5 - Go to the connection tab and enter the datasource at HOST,PORT
for your ASE Server.
(or use the advanced tab and fill in other options like "interface file
path" etc- see oledb manual for options)
I'm not sure about steps 6-7.
The rest should be the same as before.
