Hello,
As my title suggests, I'm trying to access the user table in
our sybase database. The reason I want to do this is because
I've created a report interface and the reports details and
user information are already in the sybase database.
However, I'm unable to read from the user table.
Can anyone give me guideline if it is possible to access
this table?

glycere

Hi -

Could you be specific? What Database server? Also - this is ASE OLE DB
newsgroup - is this a question about that?

What specifically is the trouble?

Hello,

It's a sybase database sitting on a Windows 2003 sever. The
problem is that I'm trying to access the user table in the
database and I can't seem to be able to do so. Do you have
ang insight on this issue.

Glycere

P.S I apologize if I'm in the wrong newsgroup. I don't mean
to waste your time.

Hi

Is it the ASE database, or ASA?

What error and what client are you using to access?

If this is a database access issue - get the details -

error message
exactly what you'rte doing - like are you using isql to connect to the
database?
Are you getting the error during connection?

If its specific to the database - and its ASE, try

sybase.public.ase.general

ASA:

sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general

Hope that helps...

-Paul
