Reserved Error (-7748) When attaching to Sybase table with index

Hi, I am using Sybase ASE ODBC Driver 4.20.00.15 to attach
Microsoft Access 2003 to a table in Sybase (12.5.3 EBF
13325). When I do this I'm getting Reserved error (-7748);
there is no message for this error.
If I alter the Sybase table definition so that the table
doesn't have any indexes, I can attach the table ok.
However, if I add a primary key, or a clustered,
nonclustered, unique or non-unique index, I get the above
error.
I've read the history about WorkArounds2 being set to 8192.
My current value is 4096, I have tried 8192 but this doesn't
make any difference.
Can anyone help identify what is going on with this.
Please note, I've tried the same table definition in SQL
Server 2000 and that attaches ok?
