Slow query performance when using DateTime parameters

Hi
We are running ASE 15.5 and I just upgraded from 1.1.680.0 to
1.155.11000.0 of the Sybase.Data.AseClient driver, and have noticed
that when using parameters and passing DbType.DateTime values the
query performance blows out from ~50ms to over 5 seconds. However if
instead of parameters I pass a string value, e.g. DATE_ENTERED >
'2012-01-12' then performance goes back to 50ms as it was under the
old 1.1.680 driver.
I just lodged a case with Sybase, and noticed the last SDK release was
back in October last year, so I was wondering if anyone else has been
experiencing this issue?
