I have had a long standing request from my customers to implement a Log Off
capability on my intranet website. By that, they mean that the connection to
the database (which is opened using the internal user's user name) should be
dropped the way it is when you close off SqlAdvantage, for example.

The Microsoft SqlConnection and OracleConnection drivers, as well as the
ones from Oracle implement a static ClearPool method in .net 2.0, which
would have allowed me to close the pooled connection when the user "Logs
Off". I promised that when Sybase came out with their 2.0 driver, I would be
able to fulfill that request. I am disappointed that the beta does not seem
to implement an AseConnection.ClearPool() method.

Hi Jeff,

The developer working on the project has confirmed that this feature WILLL
be available in the ADO.NET 2.0 release.

Thank you for participating in the beta program.

Ken.
