Does Data Access Application Block work with Sybase .Net Data Provider?

I notice in the Beta readme that the following is listed under
"Unsupported Features in this drop":
2. Connection String lookup: This beta drop cannot find connection
strings defined in machine.config or in application specific config
files. You must hard code your connection strings in the application
or have the application itself look up the strings from an external
source.

Am I correct to assume, then, that this Data Provider cannot be used
with the Data Access Application Block, since DAAB gets its connection
string from web.config?

Note that I've gotten this beta Data Provider to work using standard
ADO.NET based on the User Guide to the Sybase ADO.NET 1.1 Data
Provider. However, I've not been able to get it to work in a DAAB
implementation. (I'm assuming that the above is the reason?)

Will the final release of this Data Provider work with DAAB?

Did the Sybase ADO.NET 1.1 Data Provider work with DAAB?

Thx.
