Bad performance because of page splits (ie synchronous IO)

Hi everybody;
Specific programs seem have bad performance because of
index's page split - generating synchronous IO.

Do you know MDA incicator that we can use in order to
identify :
- nb of synchronous IO
- system waits because of synchronous IO
