<div>Using the Custom Designs app on the NookPhone you can decorate and customize your furniture, clothing, and other items with your own unique designs and patterns. This ACNH guide explains how to customize your items, make patterns, and import patterns you made in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.</div><div></div><div></div><div>It's fairly simple for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players to expand their custom design slots. Since the 2.0 update, players can acquire even more custom design slots in ACNH, giving them access to new designs. To get more custom design slots in ACNH, players will need to purchase the Custom Designer Pro Editor+ app from the Nook Stop Terminal in Resident Services. Once purchased, players will be able to use 50 additional spots, bringing the total to 100.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>animal crossing new horizons how to download custom designs</div><div></div><div>Download Zip: https://t.co/ea8SBtElku </div><div></div><div></div><div>Now that players have unlocked all the custom designs slots in ACNH, it may be daunting to figure out just what exactly to make next. Fortunately there is no shortage of great custom Animal Crossing designs to be found for inspiration - just check out the articles below!</div><div></div><div></div><div>We are always looking for more great custom designs! If you made a great design or if you know someone who makes one, please tell us on the comment from the bottom of this page or post them on the Custom Design Forum!</div><div></div><div></div><div>In Patch 1.4.0., the Custom Design Portal received a few noteworthy improvements. Chief among them is the ability to search for custom designs using specific search criteria. You'll also be able to search for custom designs from creators you've listed as your favorites.</div><div></div><div></div><div>When editing a pro design, players can now make custom designs for umbrellas, uchiwa fans, small flags, and face-cutout posters. To make designs for these items, players need to choose a slot to edit and then press R three times to get to the Variety Goods section.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Ultimately, making custom designs in Animal Crossing is a creative project, so you'll need to allow your creativity to flourish. For many, this is hard to do, but, luckily, nothing is on the line here. If you're unhappy with your design, just start over with no loss.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives players of all walks a chance to show their creativity. The custom design tool uses a mixture of QR codes and pixel painting to create and share designs that can be used a variety of ways. From adorable dresses to new pathways, you can create your island any way you want.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Nintendo released the Dream Suite for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, along with many other cool features in the most recent update. One significant advantage of the Dream Suite and Dream Islands is the ability to access and share custom designs safely and easily.</div><div></div><div></div><div>However, the Dream Suite adds more than just the ability to share custom designs. Players can now share more custom designs on Dream Islands than players regularly can display in their Able Sisters shop for visitors.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The Custom Design Portal is usually found in the back of the Able Sisters' shop and allows players to search for designs by code, creator or design. In the Dream Suite, the portal can be found beside Luna and the bed you wake up in on a Dream Island. Through the dream Custom Design Portal, you can access all of the custom and pro custom designs the island owner has on their nook phone.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The Dream Suite was first introduced in New Leaf, where players could access custom DIYs through a dream wandering NPC, Wendell. New Leaf also gave players to option to share custom designs or not, where New Horizons has players automatically share their designs when uploading their Dream Island.</div><div></div><div></div><div>You are able to download and save any designs you find in dream portals to your nook phone, but there is still limited storage for custom designs, with the option to hold only 50 custom designs and 50 pro designs. This storage capability is shockingly low as the game allows you to explore countless designs from millions of users.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The new update also expands the design slots for both the Normal and Pro Custom Design modes, to allow players to create even more designs. Additionally, players can now customize a number of new items.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Most Animal Crossing players have come across in-game items that they adore. Whether it's a hat that blocks out the sun or a towering monster statue that guards your home, Nintendo has created a deep well of content for players to enjoy. And that's not all. Players can also make their own custom designs that can be shared with anyone in the world for free. The custom designs show off the player's artistic abilities, and often bring licensed content into the game, such as an Overwatch t-shirt or a painting of a certain goose.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Custom content can be added in two ways. The first is NookLink, which is a part of the Nintendo Switch Online service found on your real-world phone (which requires Switch Online subscription). NookLink allows you to scan QR codes using your phone's camera. Once a code is scanned correctly, bring up your fake phone in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and go to custom designs to find the item of note.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Note that custom designs are simply applied on top of the 14 different effect animation types that are built into the game. You may want to experiment with using these custom designs on different effect types to get your desired outcome.</div><div></div><div></div><div>As initially shared in the r/AnimalCrossing subreddit, user u/InBetweenSeen noticed that not only can custom designs be displayed on the floor of your house, but that they can also be rotated into the ideal position. This means that a large design that would usually take up several slots in a player's inventory can now take up a lot fewer by just using the same design and rotating it accordingly.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Other players have also used custom designs to their advantage after the Animal Crossing: New Horizons anniversary update launched last week. One fan even found a way to bring pet cats into the game by utilizing the Custom Designer Editor+ to place 3D-looking designs onto umbrellas and displaying them around their home.</div><div></div><div></div><div>If you have a talent for creating patterns in New Horizons, then you're probably going to want to share your designs with the rest of the world. Unlike previous games, New Horizons uses alphanumeric codes to transmit custom clothing designs between players.</div><div></div><div></div><div>In the almost two years that Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been on the market, the community has showcased some insane creativity when it comes to custom designs. From various intricate pathing designs to wallpaper patterns that fit perfectly with the latest design trends and even the most inventive ways to use Simple Panels, if you can think of it, someone in the community has probably already made it. Or... you could.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The best places to find creator codes are Reddit, Instagram, and even Twitter where you can search #acnhdesigns or #acnhpattern. Always keep in mind though that some more complex designs such as decking or even paths will require more of your design slots so download wisely. Thankfully, the number of design slots available has increased dramatically since launch, so you'll have plenty of space for custom creations.</div><div></div><div></div><div>After unlocking the Able Sisters shop, players can access the custom designs kiosk with a Nintendo Switch Online membership. From the menu, players can either search for a design ID, search by creator ID, post a custom design, or view the designs they've already posted.</div><div></div><div></div><div>In the 1.4 Summer Update (wave 2), a criteria search was added to the portal. Players can search for custom designs by typing in the name they're looking for and can filter the search to a specific type. This can filter color, theme or style.</div><div></div><div></div><div>In addition to the ability to dream, the portal can be found on the left of Luna's Bed at Resident Services in the plaza. Here the player will be able to access all of the personal custom designs and save them to their NookPhone.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Using NookLink in the Nintendo Switch Online app, the player can scan QR codes from New Leaf and Happy Home Designer. These can subsequently be accessed by entering the custom designs app and pressing the "+" button. QR codes for custom designs made for horned hats will also still work, and still appear as horn hats.</div><div></div><div></div><div>After you've unlocked the Able Sisters Tailor Shop in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will have access to a Custom Design Kiosk, allowing you to upload and download custom designs made by other players. Here's how to search, upload, and download custom designs in Animal Crossing.</div><div></div><div></div><div>When you access the Custom Design Kiosk for the first time, you will be warned that only players with internet access and a paid Nintendo Online subscription can use the custom design feature. This is because the Custom Design Kiosk accesses designs that other players have uploaded to the internet by searching for their User ID or by typing in an ID for a specific design item.</div><div></div><div></div><div>There are two types of custom designs: Normal patterns and Pro Designs. Pro Designs are locked within story progression and can be purchased with Nook Miles. Normal patterns have a variety of uses---you can place patterns on the ground, hang them on the walls in your house, or use them as wallpaper.</div><div></div><div></div><div>If you're on the hunt for custom designs made by your fellow Animal Crossing: New Horizons players, there's plenty of resources on the internet. One fan went above and beyond to make a website where all custom content creators can post and share their designs---clothes, path patterns for the ground, wallpapers, memes, everything you can think of can be found here.</div><div></div><div></div><div>With the addition of new custom design slots, players now have access to more than 200 custom designs that they can use in New Horizons. This update is a massive deal for many New Horizons design enthusiasts, who have been looking forward to experimenting with more designs for quite some time now.</div><div></div><div> 8d45195817</div>
